Director General, ICAR visited KVK Nagpur on 11.12.2011

Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR along with other dignitaries - Dr. C. D. Mayee former Chairman, ASRB, Dr. M. M. Pandey, DDG (Engineering), Dr. C. S. Prasad, Vice-Chancellor MAFSU, Nagpur, Dr. A. J. Shaikh, Director, CIRCOT, Mumbai, Dr. Dipak Sarkar, Director, NBSS&LUP, Nagpur and Dr. V. J. Shivankar, Director, NRC for Citrus, Nagpur visited the Central Institute for Cotton Research (CICR), Nagpur on 11.12.2011.

DG, ICAR visited the Technology Park, Fruit and Vegetable Cafeteria, Osmanabadi Goat Unit, Poultry Unit comprising Vanraj, Giriraj, Kadaknath breeds, Soil testing laboratory, Home Science lab and ERNET Computer lab of KVK, CICR, Nagpur. He reviewed the various ongoing activities and appreciated them. He also discussed about achievements and future plans to be implemented by KVK for assessment and refinement of technologies in agriculture and allied fields for benefiting the farmers of Nagpur district. He opined that KVK is a grass root level organization meant for application of technologies through assessment, refinement and demonstration of proven technologies and providing trainings of the same under different micro-farming situations.
